Dear guests,
We would like to inform you that there will be the International Firework Competition STAROBRNO IGNIS BRUNENSIS only in few days and only few steps away from the hotel, at the Brno dam. Audience will be able to see four spectacular firework shows, always from 22.30, on 1st, 5th, 8th and 12th June.
For these days, the Brno Magistrate issued an announcement of restriction and complete closure of roads in the dam surroundings. The Maximus Resort hotel is also affected by this announcement – please take into consideration the following instructions.
Closure of the Hrázní street (in the section from the Rekreační street to the Přístavní street) applies on days of the fireworks always from:
- Saturday, 1st June from 16.00
- Wednesday, 5th June from 18.00
- Saturday, 8th June from 16.00
- Wednesday, 12th June from 18.00
CARS
Access to the hotel through Přístaviště on the Brno dam will be closed on the days of fireworks, always from the time given above. The closure affects the street Hrázní in the section from the street Rekreační to Přístavní (up to the restaurant U Lva). Hotel guests coming from Kuřim, old motorway and Bystrc (at the petrol station) will be guided to the hotel via orange signs (“Maximus” written on them) through Kníničky. The same applies for the way back.
MAXIMUS HOTEL SHUTTLE BUS
It will be available to the hotel guests on the given days to 16.00 on Saturday and to 18.00 on Wednesday, always in both directions (the stop Přístaviště <-> Maximus Resort hotel). After these times, it will then leave from the stop Maximus Resort to the stop U Zoologické zahrady 2 (get off at the tram stop Zoologická zahrada and cross the bridge over the river; the bus stops at the vet ambulance behind the bridge). Times of the bus departures will not change, however delays or closures of the shuttle bus may occur during the firework event.
